Reuben Mwei tabbed DII Scholar Athlete of the Year

Rebecca Lindquist nabs RMAC Player of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Adams State College sophomore Rebecca Lindquist (Fort Collins, Colo.) has been named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference/Rawlings Player of the Week.
Lindquist, who leads the RMAC in batting average, hit a solid .625 (10-for-16) with four doubles and nine RBI while scoring three runs as the Grizzlies won 3 of 4 games in their season-opening series at Regis. Lindquist, who also was errorless in 18 defensive chances, also slugged at a .875 clip as the Grizzlies won at Regis Field for the first time since Apr. 25, 2004 while winning a 4-game series against the Rangers for the first time in the Grizzlies’ NCAA Division II (1993-Present) history.
The Grizzlies, who are 3-1 in conference play and overall record, are tied for first place the early RMAC West Division standings with Colorado State-Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands heading into this weekend’s 4-game set against RMAC East Division leader Metro State, a team that is 11-1 overall and 8-0 in conference play.
