ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Adams State College throwers Jenna Bohnen (Erie, Colo.) and Rebecca Lindquist (Fort Collins, Colo.) each recorded top 3 performances as they led a small group of five Grizzly women who competed at Saturday’s Lobo Opener, the first of five meets that the Grizzlies will compete in here at the Albuquerque Convention Center, the last of which is the NCAA Division II National Championships that Adams State will co-host in March. Grizzlies set three provisional marks, win five events in season-opener

GOLDEN, Colo.— Sophomore Indira Spence (Trelawny, Jamaica) made her return to the track in style winning both the 60-meter hurdles and the 300-meter dash while she and senior long jumpers Amanda Doyle (Gylling) (La Jara, Colo.) and Renee Harris (Colorado Springs, Colo.) all set provisional qualifying marks for the NCAA Division II National Championships to lead the Adams State College women’s indoor track and field team to a fine season-opening effort at the Colorado School of Mines Alumni Extravaganza contested Saturday here in the Orediggers’ Steinhauer Fieldhouse. COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— The Adams State College women’s track and field team has been unanimously picked to win a record-setting ninth straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference indoor title come February according to the conference’s 2009-10 preseason coaches’ poll.   The Grizzlies, who received a maximum nine first place votes in the poll, also had a conference-most four athletes selected to the Preseason All-RMAC team including Preseason Athlete of the Year Indira Spence (Trelawny, Jamaica), a sophomore sprinter and hurdler.
