Bustos, Grizzly bench big in 14-point win at Western State
GUNNISON, Colo.— Junior guard Vera Jo Bustos (Las Vegas, N.M.) scored 24 points for the second straight game while reserve Paige Ricker (Colorado Springs, Colo.) provided a big spark off the bench nailing all three of her 3-pointers en-route to a career-high 15 points as the regionally-ranked Adams State College Grizzly women’s basketball team came from as many as 13 points down early in the night to post a comfortable 75-61 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference win over arch-rival Western State College, Friday night here in the Mountaineers Paul W. Bustos shoots Grizzlies to victory in regional-ranking clash
ALAMOSA, Colo.— Junior guard Vera Jo Bustos (Las Vegas, N.M.) hit six 3-pointers on just seven attempts and scored a season-high 24 points as the Adams State College women’s basketball team set a new NCAA Division II era (1992-93/Present) school-record for wins by claiming a monstrous 78-61 win over fellow regionally-ranked Colorado State University-Pueblo, Saturday night before a boisterous Hawaiian Night crowd of more than 1,500.
